A rosary should be as precious and unique as a treasured piece of jewelry, its beauty meant to inspire meditative prayer and reflection on the life of Jesus. The inspiration for this rosary comes from Luke 12:27-28:
“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. “But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you?”
This rosary is made of recast antique bronze rosary components and fire polished pink Czech glass Hail Mary beads. The Our Father beads are Japanese Tensha beads with a delicate lily motif. There are accented with double bronze bead caps and fluted bronze spacers to contrast with the other beads and create a pleasing design.
Both the crucifix and the centerpiece are cast from vintage originals. I cherish these antique pieces and the thought that many generations have lovingly held and prayed with the same images.
The delicate pierced designs and tiny details add such beauty to the metal rosary parts. The fire polished Czech Glass beads are a wonderful contrast to the Japanese Tensha beads, both modern types of beads in a this traditional design.
